I’m writing to share some wonderful news about the group in Ecuador. Thanks to the Blessed Virgin and Dr. Plinio, we have been growing, especially with a new homeschooling project to form young students who wish to live more deeply the life of the group.

Currently, 10 people live at our headquarters in Guayaquil (7 stable members and 3 in the homeschooling program), and every weekend another 7 young men join us to participate in campaigns and in the group’s daily life.

Recently, thanks to the Virgin, we were able to obtain a larger house, but it was in quite a deteriorated state. We had to invest in urgent repairs to fix problems with water, electricity, and humidity, which consumed much of our available resources. Now, we need to raise funds to purchase beds and mattresses.

Our goal is to adapt the new house to accommodate a total of 20 young men — allowing us to welcome 3 additional boys into our mini-academy (inspired by the one in the U.S.) while also hosting those who come on weekends.

We are just a few weeks away from moving, but we are still missing 3 bunk beds and 2 single beds, with their corresponding sheets and mattresses. Below is the budget breakdown:

3 bunk beds: $500 each → $1,500

6 mattresses: $100 each → $600

2 single beds: $250 each → $500

2 mattresses: $100 each → $200

Comforters and sheets: $500

Total: $3,300

As a token of gratitude for those who help us, we would like to offer an authentic relic of Gabriel García Moreno, given to us by the Mother Superior of the Monastery of Santa Catalina, where his body was found. This relic consists of a fragment from the epaulettes of his military uniform.

Additionally, as a special gesture of gratitude, this October we will place your name at the feet of Our Lady of Good Success.

In December, we will be traveling to Spring Grove to spend Christmas with the American TFP members, and we can personally bring the promised relic.
